The Derry City Story now available on Amazon
Derry-born film maker Guy King has confirmed this week that the full, feature length version of his popular film Different League: The Derry City Story has been released on Amazon.co.uk.
The new release features much content that television viewers won't have seen before, and is available on a free, 7-day trial at buff.ly/3oeG2X9
Owen Da Gama, the South African star who made such an immense impact on the local club in the mid-late 1980's was delighted that the new version was now available.
“This is great news. It simply reflects the quality of the film. It’s a brilliant depiction of Derry and Derry City FC.” He also called for more films about Derry City: “Maybe the next documentary can be about the characters, such as Stuart Gauld, Nelson Da Silva and all the local players. There is a great story within the team.”
And another man who has legendary status throughout Ireland, Liam Coyle said- "There was a really positive reaction to the TV version last year so it's good to hear that the full film is available now too. With things a lot more upbeat around the club these days it's good that the younger generation can see just how much the football club means to the people of the City. There are a lot of great memories in there and hopefully this won't be the last film made about Derry City."
