Last Tuesday, the energy at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin was absolutely infectious. We took our studio on the road for Saint Patrick’s Day, and what we found was a beautiful, shared celebration that brought people from all corners of the community together.

It wasn’t just about the date on the calendar; it was about the vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that filled the Great Hall and spilled out into the streets.
A Shared Space for Everyone
Cultúrlann has always been a hub for creativity, and seeing it transform into a focal point for the city’s festivities was a highlight for our team. We saw faces from every background—neighbors catching up, visitors discovering the city for the first time, and families enjoying the music. It was a perfect example of how heritage can be a bridge that connects us all.
> "The best part of an outside broadcast isn't just the music—it's the spontaneous conversations with people who just want to share a bit of their day with you."

The Highlights
* The Music: From the intricate rhythms of traditional sessions to contemporary sounds, the talent on display was world-class.
* The Atmosphere: Warm, welcoming, and high-energy. Whether you were there for the language, the art, or just a coffee, you were part of the family.
* The Conversations: We had the chance to interview local organizers and attendees who spoke about the importance of making these celebrations accessible and welcoming for the entire city.
See for Yourself
We managed to capture some of the best moments on film. From the foot-stomping music to the sea of smiling faces, this video sums up exactly why we love getting out of the studio and into the heart of the community.
A Massive Thank You
A huge thanks to the team at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin for being such incredible hosts and to everyone who stopped by our broadcast desk to say hello. It was a day defined by laughter, mutual respect, and a shared love for our city’s cultural life.
