There's a sprinkle of magic that makes Saturday mornings feel like a unicorn parade. The workweek has been tossed out the window, the coffee is brewing like a mini cauldron of happiness, and for many, there's that one voice that officially kicks off the weekend shenanigans.

Enter Rosie Patton, the maestro of the nostalgia-infused show that's quickly becoming the community's go-to jam session. We caught up with Rosie to chat about her 90s obsession, the wizardry of music, and that one time she left her mic on, giving the world an earful of her studio antics with her sidekick Mr.Know it All" Brian Hassan

More Than Just a Playlist

If you're hunting for a show that feels like a bear hug mixed with a wild dance-off, Rosie's slot is your golden ticket. With a heavy focus on the 90s and 00s, her mission is straightforward: to catapult you back in time.

"I love diving into nostalgia," Rosie beams. "I aim to spark a memory or whisk people back to a different era. Music's got this magical ability to make you grin like a Cheshire cat; it's like a sonic band-aid."

While she's all about those upbeat tracks, the real heart of her show is the listeners. Rosie lives for requests and themed days—whether it's a 90s pop deep dive or a country hoedown. "I love requests because I want to know what makes folks groove. What's the listener itching to hear?"

Connecting with the Community

For Rosie, radio isn't just about blasting tunes; it's about making connections. After deciding acting wasn't her jam ("I can't act!" she chuckles), she found her groove behind the mic.

"I adore being that Saturday morning voice people wake up to," she shares. "It's a privilege to be a tiny part of someone's day that sparks a cherished memory. Saturdays are my therapy—doing the show puts me in such a fantastic mood for the rest of the day."

"Rosie, Shut Up!"

Of course, live radio comes with its fair share of "oops" moments. When asked about her funniest on-air blunder, Rosie recalls her rookie days when she was "fresh out of the wrapper."

"I forgot to switch my mic off and had a full-blown chat about absolute gibberish in the studio. I was mortified! I got flooded with texts and calls saying, 'Rosie, shut up!'"

Life Beyond the Mic

When she's not lighting up the airwaves, Rosie is a creative dynamo. A seasoned writer, she's penned two plays, led writing classes, and popped up in several anthologies. And while she dubs herself a "passive gym goer" (only showing up when a big event looms!), her true love is storytelling—whether through her own writing or the tunes of her fave artist, Brandi Carlile.

"Brandi Carlile is a storytelling wizard," Rosie gushes. "She could sing me the phone book, and I'd be mesmerized."

Get Involved!

Rosie's show is all about you. Whether you're craving a 90s classic that takes you back to your school days or just want to shout out to your local peeps, Rosie's ready for your call.
