Sunrise and Superpowers: Meet the Voice of Monday Mornings, Ronan O’Flaherty

Move over, sunset—there’s a new dawn in town. If you’ve been reaching for the radio dial on your Monday commute and noticed things sounding a bit more energetic (and significantly more "Trekkie"), there’s a reason.

The man who once drove you home has officially flipped the switch. Ronan O’Flaherty has moved from the evening slot to host the brand-new Ronan 'O' Breakfast Show, airing every Monday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Goodbye Drive Time, Hello Breakfast

For a long time, Ronan was the voice that "drove you home and up the walls." But now, he’s the one helping you shake off the weekend cobwebs. While the time has changed, the mission remains the same:

"I believe if I can make one person smile during my show, then I have done my job properly."

Now, he just has to do it while you're still working on your first cup of coffee. You can still expect the same mix of 80s-to-now hits, quirky stories, and—of course—your chance to win those coveted Brunswick Moviebowl tickets.

From Code to Coffee

When he’s not behind the mic, Ronan is a man of logic. In another life, he’d likely be working for a hard drive manufacturer or deep in software development. This technical background might explain why he once almost broadcast his personal mobile number to the entire region.

"I only got five or six digits in," he admits, "but I laughed it off and pretended to start again!" We suspect his software-engineer brain caught the "data leak" just in time.

The Enterprise of Monday Mornings

If the music doesn't wake you up, Ronan’s "Secret Superpower" talk might. While he’s a massive Trekkie at heart, his ideal superpower isn't flight or invisibility—it’s the ability to give everyone else superpowers. It’s a lovely thought, though we’re not sure the Monday morning school run needs more people with the power of flight.

The Drive Home Show might be in the rearview mirror, but the Ronan 'O' Breakfast Show is firmly in the front windshield. Whether you're a fellow Trekkie or just someone trying to survive the 8:00 AM rush, Ronan is there to make sure your week starts with a laugh.

Just remember: if you hear him start reciting a ten-digit number, it’s probably a mistake—don't call it!
